Château de BeauregardFounded in 1989, the Seminar Program is offered in France in partnership with The Frick Collection. It offers in-depth exploration of themes in French art, architecture and decorative arts for museum curators, art historians, distinguished scholars and serious collectors. Limited scholarships are available.
In 2008, an American PhD fellowship for research at the Centre de Recherche in Versailles was offered in conjunction with the seminar “Versailles: Architecture, Gardens and Decorative Arts.”
The program is led by Anne L. Poulet, Director of The Frick Collection and Monique Barbier, French Heritage Society coordinator and art historian. Past seminars have included: “Art Nouveau in Nancy,” “The Silk Industry in Lyon,” “The 18th Century in Bordeaux,” and “Romanesque Art in the Southwest of France: The Road to Compostela.”
