The Palm Beach Chapter has drawn members who appreciate the arts and culture
to events scheduled most often during the winter season. These have included a
Soirée Musicale with the Palm Beach Symphony Orchestra, and receptions in many
magnificent private homes. Most recently, Her Royal Highness Princess Michael of
Kent spoke to an audience of more than 200 guests at a lecture on “Marie Antoinette:
A Glimpse of Her Life” which was followed by a cake and champagne reception.
Proceeds from the event helped provide a French Heritage Society grant of $22,000
towards the restoration of the Besthoff Sculpture Garden at the New Orleans
Museum of Art.
