The Atlanta Chapter organizes a variety of cultural and social events for its members throughout
the year. Proceeds from Chapter benefits have been designated for specific grants that members
have voted to support. The Atlanta Chapter has raised funds for restoration projects in France,
such as Hôtel de Talleyrand, Château de l’Hermitage and most recently Abbaye de Valmagne,
as well as for properties in the United States, such as Jean Hasbrouck House, and for New Orleans
as part of French Heritage Society's Katrina Heritage Rescue Fund.
Chapter activity highlights include the annual luncheon with a guest speaker and a theme drawn
from history, and the "Reveillon de Noel," an elegant Christmas dinner and silent auction at a
private club. Intimate soirees, held throughout the year, complement an active program of lively
speakers who present talks related to art and architecture, design, preservation and history.
French Heritage Society’s Atlanta Chapter Chairman is Suzy Wasserman.
