The Arizona Chapter was founded in 1988 by Co-Chairmen Gay Firestone Wray and Astrid Stanfield- Pinel. Over the years, the Chapter has organized a variety of cultural and social events for its members. Proceeds from Chapter benefits have been designated for specific grants which members have voted to fund. The Arizona Chapter first raised funds for a grant to the Gila Chapel in Florence, Arizona; and since then, has helped provide support for restoration projects at the Chateau de La Verrerie in the Cher region of France, and for the Elms in Newport, Rhode Island. Past highlights have included luncheons, musical evenings and lectures, from former Ambassador André Baeyens, to Kristina Haughland, Costume Curator at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The current Chapter Co-Chairmen are Lyn and Jolyon Grant.
