French Heritage Society is sustained by its members across the United States
and in France. There are currently 15 chapters with approximately 2000 members.
The first chapter, in Paris, was followed by chapters in Arizona, Atlanta, Boston,
Cleveland, Dallas, New Orleans, New York, North Carolina, Northern California,
Palm Beach, Philadelphia, Santa Barbara, Southern California, Ste. Genevieve,
and Washington. Each chapter acts independently to organize social activities
relating to French culture. The monies raised by a chapter are earmarked for
the specific grants its members have chosen to fund, thus giving membership
direct participation in the process. Frequently, chapter members visit projects
to see the results of a completed restoration.
